Looking for gluten-free dining in Huntsville and Madison, Alabama? Start with restaurants that publish clear information about their menus and preparation practices. Here are two places with gluten-free information on their official websites, followed by other restaurants to contact before planning a visit.

A gluten-free menu item is not the same as a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. Explain your dietary requirements and ask about ingredients, shared equipment and cross-contact before ordering. This guide does not certify a restaurant or guarantee an individual meal.

Mason Dixon Bakery & Bistro

Mason Dixon Bakery & Bistro describes itself as a dedicated gluten-free facility. Its website includes bakery items and breakfast and lunch offerings, making it a starting point for exploring gluten-free dining in Huntsville.

Its official FAQ explains that the facility also handles other allergens, including dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. Discuss any additional dietary requirements with staff before ordering. Check the website for current location details, hours and menus.

Phuket Thai Restaurant & Sushi

Phuket Thai Restaurant & Sushi publishes a gluten-free menu on its official menu page. Review that menu rather than assuming all Thai dishes, sushi, sauces or toppings are gluten-free.

Ask staff which choices are currently available and how your meal will be prepared. A published gluten-free menu does not establish that the whole kitchen is gluten-free or that every order can meet your individual requirements.

Other Restaurants to Contact First

The following businesses appeared in our earlier article. During this update, we could not confirm the previous claims about their gluten-free ingredients or preparation methods from the official pages we reviewed. Treat these as places to ask, rather than verified gluten-free recommendations.

  • Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria/Gelateria: Contact the Huntsville or Madison location about current crust options and preparation practices. Do not assume a particular crust supplier, foil procedure or dedicated cutter is still in use.
  • Domaine South: Review the current menu and contact the restaurant about which dishes, if any, can meet your requirements. We have not verified a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.
  • Oh Crêpe at Stovehouse: Ask about the current batter, fillings, sauces and shared cooking equipment. Rice flour alone would not establish that the complete dish is gluten-free.

Questions to Ask Before Ordering

  • Does the current menu identify gluten-free choices, and have any ingredients changed?
  • How are shared preparation surfaces, utensils, fryers or griddles handled?
  • Can staff accommodate your specific dietary requirements today?
  • If an ingredient or preparation method is uncertain, can staff clarify it before you order?

Menus, suppliers and preparation practices can change. Online reviews can help you discover places to investigate, but they do not replace a direct conversation about your meal.
